There is hereby established a City Convention And Tourism Advisory Board. The purpose of the Board is to assist and advise the Mayor, City Council and City Administrator in promoting economic development convention and tourism activity in the City. In addition, the Board will advise and recommend expenditures of transient guest taxes received by the City for promotion of economic development, tourism and conventions.

There is hereby created the De Soto Convention And Tourism Advisory Board which shall assist the Mayor, City Council and City Administrator in promoting convention and tourism activities in the City.

The member s of the Economic Development Board of the City established in City Code Section 10-101 shall simultaneously serve as the members of the City Convention and Tourism Board. All provisions related to the City Economic Development Department in Code Section 10-101, et. seq. shall govern and apply to the Convention and Tourism Board.
